Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Khowai, Divyodaya is a district level agricultural technology implementing institute for Khowai District of Tripura hosted by Sri Ramakrishna Seva Kendra, Kolkata. KVK Khowai was erstwhile known as KVK-West Tripura before bifurcation of district; hence the jurisdiction was whole undivided West Tripura district. This KVK is having a satellite centre at Gandhigram, West Tripura established in year 2002. This KVK is one of the oldest KVK of North East India which was established in 1979 after its host Sri Ramakrishna Seva Kendra started their voluntary activities in agricultural pursuits in year 1974 at Chebri, Khowai.

This KVK has fetched Zonal Best KVK award from Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi during 2011; Best Zonal NICRA KVK, 2017 and Best KVK of Tripura State 2024-25 and several farmers and entrepreneurs also received national, regional and state award through the guidance by this KVK in their field. KVK Khowai achieved “Category A” rank evaluation done by NITI Aayog, Govt. of India.

Total land with KVK is 43.46 ha out of which 37.84 ha, 2.0ha, 1.16ha, 1ha, 0.75ha and 0.71ha, respectively are utilized under Orchard/ Agro-forestry/ Fodder/ Medicinal Garden production unit (Coconut, Areca nut, Papaya, Mango, Banana, Jackfruit, Pineapple, Dragon Fruit, Citrus Species, Carambola, Drum Sticks, Black peeper, Cinnamon Spp. Teak, Siris, Rubber, Napier, Para, Guinea, Subabul, Agar, Amla, Terminalia Spp, Tulsi, Aloevera etc.) Crop Cafeteria (Paddy, Maize, Millets, Black Gram, Green Gram, Mustard, Sesame, Dhaincha),Vegetable demonstrations (Potato, True Potato Seeds, Cowpea, Ridge Gourd, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Tomato, Brinjal, Chilli, Turmeric, Ginger) , Fish based IFS Model, Livestock (Piggery-Large White Yorkshire, Landrace, Dairy-Jersey Crossed and Deshi cow, Goat-Bengal Goat) & Poultry demonstration units (Kuroiler, Kadaknath, Broiler Stain, Khaki Campbel, Indian Runner) and plinth area of administrative and different buildings. Mushroom Spawn and Fresh Mushroom Production (Oyster), Bee Keeping (Apis indica), Vermicompost (Eusinia fetida) units are also managed at KVK instructional farm.
